Wings of a Faerie (FREE short story)

Picked up Eye of the Manticore rather quickly. I enjoyed it a lot. I admit I was surprised Thomas had not killed even a boar or other animal during his years as a Manticore. The revelation about why mantacores eat humans was also interesting... and it's understandable why Thomas wouldn't mention that when he talked to Mrs. Simone about the subject later in Book 3. Hard to have good relations with a species if you find out you are their favorite food.

It is a bit sad how locked up the manticores are... but maybe some day in the future, Thomas and the others might work up a way to help the Manticores. Find a way for them to experience the world outside their forests without hunting people to do so.

In fact he did kill boars and small animals from time to time, but he was always squeamish about it. I love your suggestion for a story where Thomas frees the manticores from the confines of the woods. :-)
